Elliot exhaled at the question and then the explanation which really he kind of figured is what TJ would have meant. He rubbed his hands over his head. "If I'm mean... or just power tripping or... if I'm not me..." more than anyone else he'd hope that TJ would be able to see the difference but then again his own sister hadn't been able to tell.

Maybe Mr. Robot was just damned good at hiding in plain sight and Elliot didn't really have any way of knowing that. Maybe he was just all those things in his head but not out loud.
