Every reaction from Elliot seemed to happen on a delay, as if he had to process how he felt about John's actions for a very long time; that didn't exactly surprise John, but it did make things so nerve wracking that any tentative advance from Elliot earned him a shiver or a quick intake of breath, including when he finally opened his mouth to John's tongue.
